Canadian re-hashing of the legendary bank and train robbing pair's true life and times. The legendary outlaws are played as much younger and decidedly more handsome than in the 1969 Newman/Redford telling of their story. Purportedly this film tells the real story - or at least one more closely related to the facts known about the pair which are, at best, sketchy. The fortunes of two young outlaws, George LeRoy Parker aka Butch Cassidy, the 'Gentleman Bandit' (David Clayton Rogers) and Harry Longabaugh aka The Sundance Kid (Ryan Browning) become inextricably linked despite their personal differences of character, through their shared membership of 'The Wild Bunch'. The gang's successful career of robberies is always executed without a single death and the innocents involved are always treated with dignity. The law is always on their trail - it's just that they're waaaay back long the trail. That is until the pair attempts to escape the heat by taking short lived retirement in Argentina along with Ethel 'Etta' Place (Rachelle Lefevre) - Sundance's moll. The end comes in Bolivia where the Yankee tearaways find out that the heat there is a lot better organized
- and a lot less concerned about human rights.
