Description

Live performance from the legendary singer, actress and star of 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939). Garland was born in 1922 to a mother and father who were both vaudevillians and subsequently opened a movie theatre. Growing up immersed in the movies and the art of musical performance, Garland was given ample opportunity to develop her gifts and was spotted and signed by MGM at the age of 13. Her performance in 'The Wizard of Oz' earned her an Academy Award and laid the foundation for an immensely successful career in both music and film. Here she performs a number of popular songs from throughout her career.
