Double-bill of films with an Irish theme. In the romantic comedy 'The Matchmaker' (1997), Marcy Tizard (Janeane Garofalo) is an election campaigner for a United States Senator, sent over to Ireland to pave the way for the Senator's upcoming visit, where he can emphasise his 'Irishness' to the voters back home. Finding herself in the middle of a small village's annual matchmaking festival, Marcy is initially scornful of the attempts by the local matchmakers to fit her up with an eligible bachelor. But when she meets handsome barman Sean (David O'Hara), her opinion might be about to change. 'Mickeybo and Me' (2004), follows the lives of two boys growing up in Belfast at the outset of the troubles in 1970. Living on different sides of the political divide, the boys strike up a friendship with their shared passion for 'Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid', deciding to steal a gun and high tail it to Australia, in homage to their heroes.
