Description

Documentary charting the unlikely friendship that develops between an 82-year-old bachelor and a young nun which sparks the transformation of a Danish castle into a Russian Orthodox monastery. Eager to donate his run-down castle to the Russian Orthodox Church for use as a monastery, elderly, reclusive Mr Vig thinks his prayers have been answered when a group of nuns arrives to evaluate his dreams and turn them into a reality. But when the nuns, led by overbearing Sister Ambrosija, gradually take control of proceedings, the old man realises his life is about to change forever. Sister Ambrosija's endless list of demands and views on running the monastery soon lead

Mr Vig to question whether he has made the right move. Initially confrontational, with neither person willing to back down, the rivals' love of the project soon sees a grudging admiration develop between the pair, which ultimately leads to the realisation of both their dreams.
