This 4 CD box set was commissioned in 2009 for the 20th anniversary of NMC Recordings. Around 100 of Britain's best composers each wrote a piece, themed on Britain, for either solo voice or duet with a range of accompanying instruments. Each piece has been set to a text of the composers choice ranging from a well known poem to extracts from a national trust brochure. This CD box set also comes with a 60 page booklet describing all of the works.
