Description

Documentary about the life of the Russian arms smuggler known to many as The Merchant of Death. After serving in the Soviet Armed Forces as a young man, Viktor Bout travelled all over the world making contacts with arms dealers. With some of the biggest names in the business under his influence, Bout rapidly became one of the most well-known men in the trade. Featuring surveillance footage from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as well as some of Bout's own home movies, the documentary follows his life from the Soviet Armed Forces in the 1980s through to his prosecution and conviction in the United States in 2012.
