The theme of The Professor's Brain Trainer: Logic series is to improve memory, concentration and judgement by utilising Makoto Shichida's 'right brain development theory'. The right and left sides of the human brain function differently. Generally, the left side of the brain predominantly handles languages, conceptual and logical thinking in which its development peaks in a person's 20's. The right side of the brain generally dominates the recognition of shapes, images, spatial patterns, illustrations, music, intuition and emotions. It is said that this development can be active into a person's twilight years. Of the whole brain, most of a person's dormant abilities lie in the right side.

It is these facts that The Professor's Brain Trainer: Logic for Nintendo DS addresses.
