Description

Documentary telling the story of the airmen who manned the fighter planes of RAF Bomber Command, whose mission was to destroy the towns and cities, factories and docks, rail yards and oil refineries of Germany and the countries it had occupied. Almost half of these men were never to return. This film examines all the major operations undertaken by Bomber Command from 1939 through to the final victory in 1945, and tells their story in graphic detail through interviews with the few remaining survivors and their former enemies.
