Description

Introduced by General Sir Peter de la Billiere this is a vivid insight into the development of Britain's most powerful fighting force, founded during WWII by Colonel David Stirling, where it fast became an elite force behind enemy lines in the Western Desert. It was disowned by the British Army, and disbanded, only to be reformed for the battles in Aden, Borneo and Malaya during the 1940s and 1950s. The whole story is told here, using expert commentary, eyewitness accounts and archive footage.
