Description

Episodes 101-150 of the long-running Australian drama which charts the effects of the Second World War on a middle-class Melbourne family. Grace (Lorraine Bayly) and Dave Sullivan (Paul Cronin) are the proud parents of four children, John (Andrew McFarlane), Tom (Steven Tandy), Terry (Richard Morgan) and Kitty (Susan Hannaford). As a patriotic Australian and a man who believes in the virtues of heroism, Dave encourages his sons to enlist to fight in the war. However, Grace's maternal instincts cause her to fear for their safety. The children will have to emerge from the shadow of their parents and choose their own path through the troubled years of 1939-1945.
