Trio of dramas directed by the late Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh. 'Blind Date' (1996) chronicles the attempts of a recently-bereaved couple to rebuild their shattered relationship following the death of their young daughter. The pair arrange to meet for a series of 'blind dates', placing personal ads in the paper and pretending to be strangers when they meet. By playing different roles each time they see each other, they are able gradually to reconnect and overcome their buried grief. In '1-900' (1995), two lonely professionals meet through a telephone sex chatline. They soon fall into the habit of engaging in long weekly conversations, in which they each reveal their innermost fantasies and desires - but things get complicated as they become increasingly attached to one another. In 'Interview' (2003), political correspondent Pierre (Pierre Bokma) is assigned to interview Dutch actress Katja Schuurman (appearing as herself). Annoyed at being given such a lightweight assignment, Pierre arrives at Katja's loft apartment having prepared no questions for the interview - but before long the pair are coaxing their deepest, darkest secrets out of each other.
