Description

BBC documentary series that uses the nascent colour films of the period to provide a snapshot of life in the 1930s. With the advent of colour photographic processes such as Technicolor and Kodachrome during the 1930s, amateur filmmakers from all walks of life began documenting their world. Using films from the period, some never previously seen, the programme provides the viewer with a glimpse into a bygone age, an age that was soon to disappear with the advent of World War II.
