1974 - following the Revolution of Carnations, Portugal is transformed into a communist state. Capitalists become hunted prey and the liberated Portuguese colonies enter into the longest and bloodiest civil wars in history. The fabled Angolan diamond mines are closed down. A group of refugees manages to escape with a hoard of Angolan diamonds, which bring them wealth and success.
