The Book of Opposites is an elegantly structured mystery that takes place over the course of three years in East Berlin, directly before and after the fall of The Wall. The story revolves around the relationship between three individuals - Pfrumpy, his wife Wilma and their friend, Frank - and their journey to a Coptic Greek wedding in a big heavy Mercedes. All are killed on their return much later that night, when the Mercedes drives through a damaged section of the Glienicker Bridge into the water below. But how did it happen' And was it an accident'
