The Borrowers are tiny people who live under the floor of the Lender family's house. A nasty lawyer, Ocious P. Potter wants to pull down the Lenders' home. Then young Pete Lender finds Arrietty Clock, a Borrower, and they join together to try to stop him. But can they save the house? And will the Borrowers escape safely from the dangerous 'human beans'?

The Borrowers has been a great favourite with English children for many years. Recently it was made into a spectacular film starring John Goodman.
