The Boy Who Loves Horses - Diana Vincent

Sierra Landsing and River Girard are close friends; sharing their love and respect for horses, and helping each other recover from the loss of a friend and a horse they both loved. Sierra relies on River's coaching to help her progress in her ability to ride her Lusitano gelding, Fiel. River needs Sierra's help with the rehabilitation of his rogue horse, Corazon, rescued from the slaughterhouse. Sierra is not sure how she feels about River's interest in a very strange, gothic girl. River knows how he feels about Sierra's interest in a handsome, popular senior; he hates him. Sierra and River both suspect their enemy, Crystal Douglas, is using her elite status to manipulate those in her power to assure she gets what she wants; which is to win, and to humiliate and hurt both Sierra and River. Crystal owns a great horse, trained by River, and she may be unbeatable at the next Pacific Regional Combined Training Championship. The Boy Who Loves Horses is the continuing story of Sierra and River, and how their relationship with horses and each other effects the development of their characters as they approach adulthood.
