Zelda Sayre married F.Scott Fitzgerald in 1920 and they began to live like characters in his books. This collection of her writings demonstrates that she was a notable author herself, as well as a profound influence on Scott's work.;Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald's writings can be read now as autobiography, as social history, or as literature. The expression of a complex romantic sensibility, her prose is idiosyncratic and highly imaginative, and ranges from her only complete novel, "Save Me the Waltz" (written in counterpoint to her husband's "Tender is the Night"); her "farce fantasy", "Scandalabra"; and her semi-autobiographical stories and articles, now deservedly under her own byline, which she occasionally had to share with Scott, since his name sold more magazines.
