Seven extraordinary sisters live together under the shadow of war, bound by loyalty, love, fear and hope. Then comes one hallucinatory night when the Luftwaffe level the city of Coventry. Among the firestorms that rage across the city, the youngest daughter experiences a magical awakening that, years later, will result in the birth of a son.
