The freedom fight - Adbayo Faleti

First published in 1958 to coincide with Nigeria's independence, The Freedom Fight is the only notable example of the Yor bn revolutionary novel and the longest novel in the Yor b literary corpus to date. Set in 19th century traditional Yor bland, it tells the story of Aj y, the idealistic chieftain's son, who begins to revolt against the injustices of slavery and feudalism. After a long struggle, he eventually wins freedom and independence for the people of Ok , signalling the beginning of the end of feudalism in Yor bland.
