These conditions are that we shall have faith in our Father in Heaven and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the atonement wrought by Jesus for our salvation; that we sincerely repent of our sins; and be baptised by immersion for the remission of our sins, by one who has the authority to perform that sacred ordinance.

After having conformed to the ordinance of baptism we may receive the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands; and we should thenceforth live righteous lives before God and our fellow men.
