Sally is a London mother of two who has just come out of a five-year adulterous affair with Clive, a married minor TV personality. To deal with the shock and heartbreak of being unceremoniously dumped, she follows her counsellor's advice and starts writing a journal addressed to Clive. She recalls the happy times of their affair, but it is soon apparent that her grief is turning into obsession, leading her to stalk him, at home and on the internet. Her life spirals out of control as she abuses prescription drugs, stops working, neglects her own children, and stalks Clive's wife, his son and his pregnant daughter as well. As she plots her revenge, the question arises: at what point does love turn into psychotic madness?
