The Emmy-winning US drama imported by Channel 4 is by turns violent and funny as it follows the trials and tribulations of Mob boss Tony Soprano and his "waste management" (a neat euphemism) crew. This companion to the series is the first book to be published on this State-side phenomenon, which not only garnered two Emmy awards but also became one of the highest rated shows on its broadcasting station HBO. The series was also a huge success for Channel 4, where it received critical acclaim and high viewing figures.
The book is packed full of in depth articles about the making of the show and the second season, which is due to be shown on Channel 4 later on this year. It also contains cast biographies and illustrations from the series throughout the book.
