Delightful and useful The RHS Address Book and The RHS Birthday Book have been brought together in a handy slipcase, larger than the pocket diaries and smaller than the desk diaries. Both books are illustrated with botanical art from the RHS Lindley Library, the finest horticultural library in the world.



The Address Book contains a selection of the many gifts and bequests to the RHS Lindley Library including work by artists Georg Dionysius Ehret (170870), William Hooker (17791832) and Lilian Snelling (18791972).



The Birthday Book is illustrated with exquisite studies of medicinal plants from books by two physicians: William Woodville's Medical Botany (17901793) illustrated by James Sowerby, the major English botanical artist of his generation, and Ferdinand Vietz's Icones Plantarum (18001820) with drawings by the accomplished Viennese artist Ignaz Alberti.
