The Ulster Transport Authority controlled public transport in Northern Ireland from 1948 to 1967 and was the forerunner of Translink. This book is a full colour album and covers the steam and diesel trains operated by the Authority, as well as its well-known green buses. The book includes many railway and bus station views and close-ups of long forgotten features of our transport system - somersault signals, mixed gauge track at Larne Harbour and crowds of holiday makers waiting for their trains and buses.
