He spent times as a financial correspondent at The Business Times , a leading financial newspaper in Singapore, subsequently returning to the banking industry as a financial product developer at a major Australian Bank and rising to become its Deputy Head, Private Banking.

Paul is a trained engineer and has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S.A.
