Description

The real-time strategy game is still going strong, particularly on PC, and to support this fact, Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon is heading to home computer courtesy of Eidos. The nature of the game is based upon ancient Chinese history. At the end of the second century, the Han dynasty collapsed, leaving just three kingdoms, Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan, taking control of divided parts of China. As a player of Three Kingdoms, you will take on the role as leader of any of the kingdoms in an epic challenge to become the ultimate force in China. Dominance is the name of the game. Depending on your personal preference, you can either begin one of the game's campaigns or a quick battle. Unsurprisingly, the campaign option is involving, challenging and time consuming. Here, you begin in a small rural area of China, where you must learn to control your people and expand your village into a historic, powerful metropolis. There are a number of ways to accomplish this task. You can spend most of your time declaring war on other populations, or increase your defensive measures and use constructing and trading methods. Either way, war will ultimately prove your dominance and win you the game. Three Kingdoms is visually pleasing, offering a vast range of 2D textures and animations. There are literally hundreds of buildings, characters and environments that make the game's settings truly comprehensive. This game tells a story of epic proportions in a surprisingly interactive way.
