Tiger Bay blues - Catrin Collier

At eighteen, Edyth Evan's life is thrown into turmoil by a chance meeting with handsome curate Peter Slater. Head over heels in love, she sacrifices her ambitions of a college education and career to help Peter realise his dream of running his own parish, but when they are sent to the dockland area of Cardiff known as Tiger Bay, Edyth discovers why her parents were so against her marriage, the difference between love and infatuation, and the heartbreak of being unable to acknowledge the man she recognises as the great love of her life.
