Documentary made by Mika Kaurismaki in which he and fellow filmmaker Jim Jarmusch accompany legendary director Sam Fuller deep into the Amazonian jungle where, some 40 years previously, Fuller had spent time researching an action film starring John Wayne and Ava Gardner about a 'tigrero' (jaguar hunter), which never came to fruition owing to prohibitive insurance costs and film studio politics. As the trio adjusts to life within the the remote Brazilian tribal village, Fuller talks about his first encounters with its indigenous Karaja inhabitants, his experiences in the film industry and his musings on life in general. A unique combination of travelogue, film history, and anthropological study, the film won the International Critics' Award at the 1994 Berlin Film Festival.
