Description

Five-part documentary on the legendary RMS Titantic, the then-largest passenger ship in the world, which was sunk by an iceberg on her maiden voyage. In April of 1912, the Titantic set sail for New York with hundreds of Irish immigrants and wealthy English people aboard her. The ship was said to be 'unsinkable', but disaster struck, when, in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, the ship hit an iceberg. The programme features reconstructions of the ship itself and examines the history of the ill-fated vessel.
