Description

A double bill of comedy crime capers. In 'Tower Heist' (2011), Ben Stiller, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick and Eddie Murphy star as the staff at one of New York's luxury Central Park apartment complexes. Determined to get their money back after discovering that Wall Street billionaire Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda), who lives in the building's penthouse apartment, has embezzled their hard-earned retirement money whilst overseeing their pension scheme, they decide to dispense with the law and take matters into their own hands. Armed with their precise knowledge of the building, they plan a heist to steal back the funds they believe to be hidden in Shaw's super-swanky residence. In 'The Other Guys' (2010), NYPD detectives Christopher Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and P. K. Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) are the coolest cops in the city, while Detectives Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) are very much the underdogs of the police force, and are mere background figures. When Gamble and Hoitz take on what, at first, appears to be an everyday case, the two get their chance to shine. But do they have what it takes to solve the case?
