Set in late 1970s Ireland, this film tells the story of 16-year-old James Powers (Donal Gallery), an American forced to live with his three Irish aunts after the death of his mother. Displaced and depressed, he longs for a way to make it back to America. One weekend in London, James discovers pornography and, realising that this is one commodity in short supply in Ireland, he decides to sell his stash of girlie mags when he returns. His venture is an immediate success but, after finding a possible way home, he must decide where home really is, and finds that his place in the world is all a state of mind.
