Peter Ridsdale, a renowned businessman, is one of football's most colourful and controversial characters. Born and bred in Yorkshire, he was the ardent Leeds United supporter who became a non-executive director at the club from 1992 to 1997, after which he took the helm as chairman - a tenure that lasted five years until his resignation in 2003.
In those five unforgettable years under his stewardship, Leeds reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1999-2000, and then the Champions League in 2000-1, and never finished lower than fifth in the FA Premiership League.
Peter is currently the chairman of Championship side Cardiff City, but still lives in northern England with his family.
