Gamers can control either these real world stars or take up the option of World Tour Career mode in which the player's own created tennis star moves from talented amateur up the ranks to Grand Slam tournaments. This mode does not just require a honing of forehand, backhand and dropshots however, each off-court decision - from coach to kit will also make a difference to ultimate success of dismal also-ran.

For the PS Vita, SEGA has designed intuitive touch-screen controls which are available to the player across all modes - including two-player Touch Versus option on one system.

If you'd rather take things online, you'll have the option to do that, too. Up to four players can compete over the PlayStation Network. You can also chat, share stats and (should the mood take you, upload your own face into the game using the front camera.
