Description

World War II documentary which focuses on the efforts made by those who went out to sea in order to defend their country during the war. The importance of the navy was paramount as, among its many other tasks, it fuelled the supply of new troops to the front line. In the middle of the Atlantic, battles were being fought between the Allied cargo ships, transporting troops, and the German U-boats who lay in wait to sabotage them. Split into two films, the documentary uses original archive footage.
