Description

After heavy losses in daylight raids, both sides of the conflict realised they had to change their tactics - even though their planes were not specifically equipped for night flying. As the war progressed, navigation aids, sophisticated radar systems and special weaponry were developed to adapt to the demands of night-time bombing.
