Watson's Clinical Nursing and Related Sciences has become established as a 'classic' in nursing literature. Part 3; Caring for Patients with Specific Disorders. This section covers the comprehensive range of clinical issues. Key themes which run throughout these chapters include; involving the family; discharge planning; placing nursing within the context of the multi-disciplinary tam and evidence-based practice. Each chapter is organised to address the key aspects which will underpin sound nursing care: A&P; major pathologies and their effects; review of medical approaches to treatment; nursing assessment of the patient; nursing management in acute phase and requirements after discharge including use of clinical guidelines.
