Released in 2004 following a period of rehab for the band's lead singer Jeff Tweedy, 'A Ghost Is Born' saw Wilco break through definitively into the American mainstream, following their slow-burning cult favourite 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' (2002). Full of dark balladry, noise rock freakouts and sublime indie and country rock, it displayed the full extent of Tweedy's artistry and songwriting capabilities. This deluxe edition features sixty-five previously unreleased tracks of demos, outtakes and alternate versions, plus a complete live performance from Boston that same year.
