Worcester blue and white porcelain 1751-1790 - Lawrence Branyan

This reference guide to the patterns used during Worcester's first 40 years has now been updated with the addition of about 50 newly discovered patterns.;The authors begin with a review of the Worcester factory and its blue and white porcelain during the years 1751-90. This is followed by a pattern guide which divides the patterns into two sections: painted and printed. Each pattern is illustrated and accompanied by a commentary giving the date range during which it was used, the rarity of its design, the shapes of wares bearing it, etc.;Lawrence Branyan is a well known collector of Worcester 18th century porcelains and was involved in the 1979 excavations on the Warmstry House Factory site.
