Description

American World War Two documentary. In mid-1944 it looked as if the war in Europe was finally coming to an end. Hitler was on the run and the Allies had triumphantly regained Paris, Casablanca, Tripoli, Naples and Rome. However, Hitler had one final card to play. In December 1944 he struck back with a brutal counterattack. Almost 80,000 American soldiers were killed, injured or captured in the Battle of the Bulge, an infernal test of courage and endurance that ultimately ended with a hard-won victory for the Allies.
