Description

Collection of four classic cult films. In 'Maniac Cop' (1988) New York City is being terrorised by a psychopathic killer in a police uniform. The prime suspect is Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell), a young policeman who has been framed by the murderer. With the help of his vice cop lover, Teresa (Laurene Landon), Jack tries to clear his name. Meanwhile, Detective Frank McRea (Tom Atkins) is hot on the heels of the real criminal but may not live to bring his shocking discoveries to light... In 'The Cheerleaders' (1973) Stephanie Fondue stars as Jeannie, a teenaged school girl who becomes a cheerleader in order to break away from her parents' strict regime. Jeannie realises just how liberated her new cheerleading friends are when they decide to help the football team win matches by sleeping with their opponents until they are worn out. In 'Penitentiary' (1979), the first film in director Jamaa Fanaka's trilogy, the violent world of life inside an American prison is graphically illustrated with the plot centred around a corrupt boxing match between two inmates, Martel 'Too Sweet' Cordone (Leon Isaac Kennedy) and 'Half Dead' Johnson (Badja Djola). In 'McBain' (1991) Christopher Walken stars as a former Vietnam P.O.W. whose military instincts are reawakened by the death of a former friend. Robert McBain (Walken) owes his life to the Colombian, Roberto Santos (Chick Vennera), who saved him in the Vietnamese jungle almost 20 years ago. When Santos' sister, Christina (Maria Conchita Alonso), arrives in New York to tell Robert of her brother's death at the hands of the oppressive Colombian regime, he knows it is time to pay back his debt. Robert gathers a team of fellow war veterans and they head to Colombia to fight with Santos' comrades against the corrupt military junta that runs the country.
