Box set featuring another four Zatoichi films. In 'Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo' blind swordsman Zatoichi returns to his old village to find it much changed; the old boss Hyoroku has been forced to turn to wood carving while his daughter works as a hostess. Merchant Eboshiya and his son Masagoro are now in charge, and constantly vie for complete control. Eboshiya enlists Zatoichi's help against Masagoro's minder, the drunken samurai Yojimbo, and tensions between the two factions reach boiling point when a masseur's murder leads to the revelation that a cache of gold is hidden in the village. In 'Zatoichi Meets the One Armed Swordsman', when a small boy stops an official Nambu Samurai Procession and is about to be executed, Wang Kong a one armed swordsman from China, steps in to save him. The result is a massacre of the local peasantry. When Zatoichi comes across the same little boy, his fathers last dying wish is for Zatoichi to look after the boy. With their different languages acting as a barrier between them, the two swordsmen are destined to meet in battle, but only one will walk away. In 'Zatoichi's Pilgrimage' a girl is assaulted on the highway, and Zatoichi finds himself acting as midwife to a dying woman. Entrusted with the baby, he embarks on a mission to the village of Dashu to deliver the baby to the father. Finally in 'Zatoichi at the Blood Fest', the endless travels of the blind swordsman have unexpectedly led him back to the town of Kasama, where he must confront a former friend in order to save his hometown.
