musicMagpie plc (trading as musicMagpie) is an ecommerce retailer operating a circular economy model. We buy and sell refurbished electronics and physical media (CD, DVD, games, books), trading via our website, marketplaces and wholesale partners. With over 800 colleagues, we operate from a head office in Stockport with warehouse facilities in Stockport and Macclesfield.
Since musicMagpie launched in 2007, the company has had circularity at its heart and has been committed to being environmentally responsible.

Working towards net zero carbon by 2038, meaning we will balance all carbon emissions across the business.
- In order to achieve our commitments to protect the environment and to make continual environmental improvements, our objectives are as follows:
- To improve employee awareness of environmental issues and to foster a culture of resource efficiency.
- To identify and reduce waste in our product purchases, repairs, packaging and office functions.
- To divert waste from landfill by prioritising reuse and recycling.
- To consider resource use and carbon emissions when making investments in new vehicles, premises and equipment.
- To develop the science-based targets that will underpin our net zero carbon emissions strategy
- To work with suppliers to reduce packaging use where possible and to select packaging with a reduced environmental impact.
- To give preference to suppliers who share our commitment to reducing their environmental impacts.
- To discourage any unnecessary business travel and encourage walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing whenever possible.
- To develop products and services that contribute to the circular economy and help our customers reduce their personal environmental impact.
- Senior management will review this environmental policy on an annual basis and we will communicate it to:
Colleagues at induction, via company noticeboards and in the staff handbook. - Visitors, customers and other interested parties by displaying it in Reception, making it available on our website and upon request.
