2017 should be an ‘s’ year according to Apple’s release schedule, although Tim Cook & co are planning something a little different according to a major leak from Apple HQ.
The leak suggests that rather than releasing the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, Apple will skip straight to the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus (alongside a special 10 year anniversary model).
The iPhone 8 Plus will be similar to last year’s model, although there are some exciting new features rumoured.
One such feature is a new OLED screen with a much improved resolution. The screen may also include the iPad Pro’s True Tone technology, which adjusts colours based on ambient lighting. This screen may cover the iPhone 8 Plus’ entire front panel, although this feature may only appear on the 10th anniversary device.
The iPhone 8 Plus may also receive a size boost, with a 5.8 inch model potentially becoming the biggest iPhone in history.
