Everything you need to know about the OnePlus 6T

Chinese manufacturer OnePlus have unveiled their latest flagship device, the OnePlus 6T, just six months after they released the OnePlus 6.

For a flagship, it's much lighter on your pocket without having to compromise the quality! OnePlus, along with Huawei, have disrupted the mobile phone market offering a huge range of choice for consumers. Their voices are being heard too, as more than one million OnePlus 6 devices were sold in under a month earlier this year.

So, what do you need to know about the OnePlus 6T?

If you've had a OnePlus device before, this time around they've finally let go of the headphone jack. This move has become much more common so it was only a matter of time before OnePlus joined the ranks. You don't have to miss out on any of your music "" if you buy the device directly from OnePlus, you can buy headphones with it. Alternatively, Bluetooth headphones are advised.

When it comes to the display, this is another device that uses as much screen space as possible but there is still a notch. Luckily, it's not the same size as the iPhone houses (or many other 2018 flagships), it's a tiny little teardrop notch which houses the front-facing camera.

The device uses a 6.41inch AMOLED screen with vibrant colours and a revolutionary on screen fingerprint scanner. It's super quick and begs the question "" why isn't everyone else doing this?! You can also use Face Unlock but that's not as fun.

The battery is huge. Literally huge. At 3,700mAh it's a big step up from 2018's OnePlus 6 (with a 3,300mAh battery) and it will easily last the entire day. Perfect if you're an avid snapper "" you'll find a 16MP and 20MP dual rear camera as well as a 16MP front-facing camera on this phone.

Out of the box it comes equipped with Android 9 Pie, a staple for the latest Android devices. There is loads of space for your favourite apps and snaps, with storage options of either 128GB or 256GB (6GB or 8GB of RAM) and the phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. As it stands, the colour options of Midnight Black, Mirror Black or Thunder Purple "" this may expand to other colours at a later date, we'll have to wait and see.

Compared to the big flagship mobile players, the OnePlus 6T is a steal at just £499 brand new.
