8 Google products that deserve more love

When you think of Google, does your mind go to the vast amount of Google products and tech available, or do you simply think of the search engine? It's all too easy to forget about the amazing products Google has produced over the years.

In certain circumstances, Google's products are drowned out by the announcement of rival products. For instance, did you know that Google offers smartwatches that rival the Apple Watch?

Whether you're new to Google's products or you've simply forgotten about all the wonderful tech they have on offer, we're here to shine a light on some of the best Google products on the market right now!

In this blog:

Chromecast with Google TV

Heard of the Amazon Firestick? The Google Chromecast is essentially Google's version, and it's one of the best video streamers available.

You'll find plenty of apps on the Google Chromecast, including YouTube and Netflix to name a few. The latest version also offers a new voice-controlled remote for improved usability and performance.

For Android users, you can easily cast your phone screen onto your TV using the Google Chromecast too!

Pixel tablet

Currently available to preorder, the Pixel Tablet is Google's first-ever dive into the world of tablets.

The Pixel Tablet has an immersive 11-inch screen with the new Tensor G2 processor and offers up to 12 hours of video streaming.

To stand out from the competition, the Pixel Tablet comes with a charging dock that is also a speaker, turning your tablet into a smart display too! You can control your home with it using the Google Home app and pair your Pixel phone with it to cast your screen or play music through the speaker.

For those that already have several Google Home products, a pixel tablet just makes sense. And for those that are yet to purchase any Google products, the Pixel Tablet is a great way to purchase a tablet, speaker and smart display all in one!

Nest Audio

The Google Nest Audio is a smart speaker capable of effortlessly filling an entire room with crisp sounds – all you need to do is say "Hey Google" to get started!

Similar to Amazon's Alexa, you'll be able to play music, set timers, and ask Google's AI assistant any questions you may have. If you're cooking, you'll be able to shout over to your Google Nest to ask for cooking instructions, set a timer, or even play a cooking music playlist on Spotify.

As for the sound quality, the Nest Audio is powered by a 75-millimetre woofer and a 19-millimetre tweeter, offering rich sound with just the right amount of bass.

Pixel Fold

Although the Pixel Fold is only available to preorder at the moment, this new Google phone deserves a shoutout for being the first foldable Google device on the market.

Competing with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy Fold and Flip models, the Pixel Fold starts off with a 5.8-inch display, before unfolding into a 7.6-inch mini tablet. The most talked about feature of this model however, is that when in its folded state, the device is the same size as a regular phone – something that Samsung struggle with when making their foldable phone range.

Not only will you get two amazingly sized displays, but you'll also get five cameras, the new Google Tensor G2 processor and a 4727mAh battery.

If you're looking for a folding phone but aren't impressed by what Samsung have to offer, the Google Fold could be the perfect solution for you!

Pixel Buds Pro

Did you know Google has earbuds? The Pixel Buds Pro is a great Android alternative to the AirPods Pro.

You'll get up to 31 hours of listening time when active noise cancellation is off and up to 20 hours of listening time with it on, and just a 5-minute charge of the earbuds in the charging case will give you up to one hour of listening time with active noise cancellation.

With an IPX4 water resistance rating, noise cancellation and excellent audio quality, Google didn't come to play with these earbuds! And unlike Apple's AirPods, you can buy the Pixel Buds Pro in a variety of fun colours.

Pixel Watch

Surprised to see a smartwatch on our Google product list? If you didn't know about Google's selection of smartwatches, now you do!

The Google Pixel Watch is a great alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Watch if you're an Android user looking for something similar to the Apple Watch. It features GPS, a speaker, tap-to-pay functionality and plenty of health and fitness features since it can sync to your Fitbit app.

You'll be able to ask your Google Assistant questions, quickly read and reply to texts, and even monitor your heart rate and sleeping habits.

Alongside the Google Pixel Watch, you'll also find a range of Fitbit watches as Google has since purchased Fitbit!

Pixel 7 Pro

Looking to upgrade your Android phone? Don't forget, Google have some great phones to choose from, including the Pixel 7 Pro model.

The Pixel 7 Pro is Google's latest professional phone model and comes with a 6.7-inch display, IP68 water resistance rating and Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back.

Google has made a few upgrades to the Pixel 7 Pro cameras, adding a 12MP ultrawide lens, 50MP wide lens and a 48MP telephoto lens.

For those who like a long-lasting battery, the Pixel 7 Pro claims to last over 24 hours and up to 72 hours when you turn on Extreme Battery Saver mode.

As far as new Google products go, the Pixel 7 Pro is one of the best Google phones out there!

Nest Hub Max

Google didn't stop when it created the Google Nest, in fact, there are now several Nest products on the market, one of which is the Nest Hub Max.

This smart display gives you everything a standard smart speaker does, with the added convenience of a touch display. So along with asking the Google Assistant to set timers, play music and answer any burning questions you may have, you can also use the display to watch videos, search the internet and browse your photo library.

What sets this smart display apart is its built-in camera, enabling users to make video calls and allows you to monitor your home while you're away.

If you're familiar with Amazon's Echo Show, then you'll most likely know what features the Nest Hub Max has to offer, as it's essentially Google's own version.
