The best songs of the summer!
Nothing says summertime like relaxing in the sunshine whilst listening to top summer anthems! So let's take a look at some of our favourite songs of the summer and find out if any of yours made our list.

Summertime
It isn't officially summer until you've heard Summertime by The Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff! It's a staple for any BBQ and is certainly one that will get everyone in a good mood and dancing along.
Released in May 1991, over 20 years later, it's still played on radio stations and is many 90s babies' favourite summer banger. It is loved by many and back in 2013, Rolling Stone magazine gave Summerime the number 9 spot in its list of the Best Summer Songs of All Time.
Waterfalls
The 90s hit Waterfalls by TLC has become an extremely popular summer song and takes the 26th spot in Billboard's Greatest of All Time Songs of the Summer… we can't argue with that!
Waterfalls was nominated for two Grammys in 1996, including Record of the Year and Best Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
It has since been ranked in the 100 Greatest Songs of the Past 25 Years by VH1 and featured in Billboard's 100 Greatest Girl Group Songs of All Time.
Let's just say it's definitely on our summer playlist, each and every year!
I Gotta Feeling
The Black Eyed Peas dominated the 2000s and early 2010s charts, releasing banger after banger and they did not disappoint with I Gotta Feeling!
Bringing us a mixture of pop and dance, it's the perfect throwback summer song! I Gotta Feeling was released in June 2009 from the album E.N.D and spent 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
If you've not heard it in a while, we definitely recommend adding it to your playlist this summer!
Party Rock Anthem
Released by LMFAO in January 2011, it's safe to say we all knew about Party Rocky Anthem by the end of the summer! It was completely different to what we had heard before, which set the trend for 2010s music.
Needless to say, it became a global success! Billboard has ranked the single as the seventh most successful song of all time and it spent an incredible 68 weeks in the charts.
Still loved over 10 years later, we can't help but turn the volume up when we hear it on the radio!
Fancy
Back in 2014, rapper Iggy Azalea and British artist Charlie XCX joined forces and gave us the extremely catchy Fancy.
The Clueless-style video was the cherry on top and it ended up being the most-watched music video on Vevo of 2014!
It was just the collab we needed and even Billboard named Fancy the song of the summer and it went on to win an award in the Top Rap Song category at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
Even though it was released at the start of the year, everyone knew the words to Fancy off by heart by the end of summer and guilty, we're one of them!
Despacito-Remix
If you don't remember Despacito being played across the country, where even were you in the summer of 2017? This song is just what we needed and as if we didn't love the original version enough, the remix version is even better!
The Despacito remix by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee ft Justin Bieber has won a ton of Billboard awards, as well as the original Despacitio track.
It is definitely a song that gets everyone up on their feet!
