iPhone 14 series overview

The iPhone 14 series is made up of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The main change to this series is there's no longer a Mini version, instead it has been replaced with a Plus version.

The iPhone 14 Plus is basically the budget device of the series and is classed as the affordable flagship iPhone. This model offers a bigger screen and upgraded features without the price tag of the Pro models.

If you want an iPhone that has the most up-to-date technology, then the pro models offer the most exciting features.

Whereas if you're on a budget or are not looking for a larger screen, then the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus still provide enough upgrades and new features to be truly satisfied.

iPhone 14

The cheapest out of the series, the iPhone 14 shares the same A15 Bionic chip as the iPhone 13 but it has been improved to make it faster and more powerful.

The iPhone 14 features you can expect include a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display along with a 12MP front camera, 12MP wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.

As well as Photonic Engine to improve low-light performance and Action Mode to boost stabilisation when recording. Plus, it is 5G ready, IP68 water resistant and has MagSafe charging. It is available in Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, (PRODUCT) Red and Yellow.

Here's the price for an iPhone 14:

iPhone 14 Pro

Let's face it, if you choose the iPhone 14 Pro, you get what you pay for and that's a whole load of advanced features you just won't get with the standard models.

A perk to choosing the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max is you'll get an exclusive feature, the brand-new Dynamic Island. This is essentially a replacement for the old iPhone notch that sits at the top of the screen to hide the front camera. It is a pretty handy feature as it shows notifications, incoming calls and alerts without you having to do anything.

The iPhone 14 Pro also has an Always-On display which is a setting that dims your lock screen but it's still visible, so you can glance at your screen and still see the time, date and widgets.

From a stunning 6.1-inch Super-Retina XDR OLED display to the super powerful A16 Bionic chip, the iPhone 14 Pro does not disappoint.

It even has 5G connectivity, MagSafe charging, and an IP68 water resistance rating, and if you love photography then you're in for a treat! You'll have access to a 48MP main camera which is another huge upgrade.

However, this model has a limited amount of colour options compared to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus; these include Deep Purple, Gold, Silver and Space Black.

Here's how much an iPhone 14 Pro costs:

128GB – £1,099

256GB – £1,209

512GB – £1,429

1TB – £1,649

The best way to save on this device is by switching to a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro and you'll enjoy incredible features for a much better price!

iPhone 14 Pro Max

If you're looking for an all-around powerful device that has everything you could possibly ask for in a phone, then you're onto a winner with the iPhone 14 Pro Max!

It does share a lot of the same features as the iPhone 14 Pro but if you want to go even bigger then this is the model to choose.

The A16 Bionic chip makes it one of the fastest phones around! It even has fantastic battery life that you can rely upon, so you can browse for hours without worrying about the charge running out.

However, as this is the biggest iPhone out of the iPhone 14 series, it is going to be heavier and larger, weighing 8.47 ounces and sporting a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display.

You'll also have access to the exclusive Dynamic Island, Always-On Display, a 48MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. This model is also available in Gold, Silver, Space Black and Purple.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max has an IP68 water rating which means it can be in a maximum of 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes before it is likely to get damaged.

Here's the price for an iPhone 14 Pro Max:

128GB – £1,199

256GB – £1,309

512GB – £1,529

1 TB – £1,749
