According to the rumours before the release, the average selling price for the iPhone 15 models were set to rise by up to $100. If these rumours were true, the iPhone 15 range would cost:

• iPhone 15 – £849
• iPhone 15 Plus – £949
• iPhone 15 Pro – £1,209
• iPhone 15 Pro Max – £1,309

Luckily, Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 range and it was surprisingly cheaper than reports claimed. In fact, the iPhone 15 models had lower RRPs than the iPhone 14 models. Here are the iPhone 15 prices:

• iPhone 15 – £799
• iPhone 15 Plus – £899
• iPhone 15 Pro – £999
• iPhone 15 Pro Max – £1,199

Why did Apple lower the iPhone 15 price?

So why did Apple lower the price of their iPhone 15 models? Well, technically they didn't. Back in 2022, Apple increased the price of their iPhone 14 range, adding £50 to the base iPhone and a whopping £150 to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It seems that Apple got cold feet about continuing this price increase when it came to the iPhone 15 range, with the base model costing £799 compared to the 14's £849.

While this price drop is most welcome, it's important to note that the RRP of the iPhone 15 was still higher than that of the iPhone 13 range, so it did go up in price overall. The iPhone 13 base model launched at £749, making it £50 less than the iPhone 15.
